Data Scientist - Data Science Technology Team

Your Role Within our Kingdom:
As Data Scientist in DS Tech, you will be part of a small team that creates the technology that scales Data Science at King.We provide innovative solutions for both our games and business functions. The team's mission is to provide the most efficient libraries, tools, environments and systems for the Data Science community at King to continue thriving. As a team, we choose our projects and cooperate with teams, both within Data Science and the Development community, in order to support them with tools and help them maximize business impact.As Data Scientist with the Tech team you will among other things: Build libraries and tools that are used by all of our Data Scientists at King Develop a unique understanding of Data Science work, challenges and methods within the teams and support them by developing state-of-the-art libraries, tools, environments and systems Engage in and drive analytical projects in collaboration with Data Scientists and Developers across our game studios, central tech teams and platforms
Skills to Create Thrills:
There is plenty of scope at King for you to learn from your colleagues in those areas where you have less experience, and to share your own skills where you are stronger. We are looking for someone who wants to excel in the technical area of Data Science work. The field is constantly evolving and requires the team to stay on top of the latest solutions, continuously learn, prototype, and adapt in order to spearhead the best practices within Data Science at King. Skills to create thrills: Solid software development skills and understanding of best practices Experience working with large data sets and associated tools (Hadoop/Hive/Impala, BigQuery, or similar) Fluency in SQL Experience in one or multiple data processing languages, such as Python or R Experience working in a Linux environment and Docker Previous experience and/or the curiosity to develop skills in front-end development (Javascript, Typescript) Interest and curiosity in learning new languages and tools Solid understanding of how to automate tasks Structured and analytical thinking doubled with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
