Silverline Sales Systems Engineer

Position Summary
Working with the F5 Silverline Sales Team, the Sales Systems Engineer is responsible for providing presales technical assistance to the Silverline Sales team and presenting demonstrations or qualification discussions in-person and over the phone/video-conference to customers and prospects. The Sales Systems Engineer will assist the sales team with qualifying opportunities and help expand existing opportunities through solid questioning and positioning of F5 Silverline solutions. The position will also support channel partners with training and technical assistance as needed in order to increase the effectiveness of F5's channel organization. The Sales Systems Engineer will be responsible for creating training, documentation and helpful tips for the Silverline Sales Team, customers, and prospects in order to advance their knowledge and understanding of the F5 Silverline technical solutions.
Primary Responsibilities
Assist Silverline Sales Team with qualification of opportunities by providing presales technical support, technical scoping of solutions, and educating customers on technical aspects of Silverline services.
Coordinate Proof-of-Concept activities with customers including scoping of the evaluation, tracking customer progress and improving the overall customer POC experience.
Delivers product demonstrations to customers, prospects and partners in-person and via phone or on-line conference.
Delivers training to partners with the goal of preparing those partners to deliver demos of F5 products with minimal assistance from F5 Silverline resources.
Helps to develop technical training curriculum specific to Silverline Sales Team.
Responsible for upholding F5's Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Requires an in-depth knowledge of DDoS and WAF technologies along with general application and networking technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, SSL/TLS, Internet traffic routing, web-application security concepts and experience with common customer network topologies and environments.
Strong interpersonal and phone presentation skills, with ability to articulate complex technologies in a simple and easy to consume manner.
Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems.
Ability to create engaging and effective training materials for a variety of audiences.
Experience with creation of customer facing documentation including knowledge base articles, white-papers, presentations and blog posts focused on network and application security.
Self-motivated and flexible.
Ability to effectively multi-task and be able to handle a high volume of requests, specifically unplanned/unscheduled requests.
Qualifications
8+ years related industry experience
BS/BA or equivalent work experience
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Duties are performed in a normal office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table.
Duties require the ability to utilize a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material.
Duties may require working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends).
Duties may require the ability to travel via automobile, train or airplane; approximately 25% of the time may be spent traveling.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
